A KARATE DOJO WHERE TRADITION AND EXCELLENCE JOIN THEMSELVES

Our adventure began in 1989 with Jean-Pierre Fiaux who created the shotokan karate section in Veytaux, near the Château de Chillon. Today, we continue the tradition through our federation, JKS (Japan Karate Shoto), one of the largest traditional karate federations in the world. Karate can be practice buy everyone. You just need to have the will and practice it with patience.

Karate is a martial art that brings physical and mental balance. It is by no means reserved for young people or healthy people. It can also be practiced by older people in order to gradually and naturally develop a balanced and harmonious body.

OUR INSTRUCTORS

Sylvain Barbé

Having fallen into karate at the age of 7, he has never stopped training since then (1990). His Sensei, Marcel Le Rolland, who trained at the harsh JKA school at Thaisho University in Tokyo, was a student of master Taiji Kase. He was introduced to other styles of karate like Gojoryu and Kyokushin.

Alain Schmid

Captivated by the physical and mental attributes of the legendary Bruce Lee, Alain found fulfillment in the exercise of an art that combines respect and confidence. He practiced in the 1980s. After a break, he intensely returned to Shotokan style karate. He taught for many years, both to adults and children. At over 60 years old, his passion is still alive.
